This Porsche Boxster S came in with a brake pad lining light illuminated on the instrument panel. The pads had been severely worn from a session at the race track and the sensors had melted out of the brake pad backing plates. The brake pads were worn unevenly so it was decided the Brembo brake calipers should be rebuilt. First, the calipers are removed and compressed air is used to carefully remove the pistons from the caliper body. The caliper body is then thoroughly cleaned and the pistons are lubricated with fresh DOT 4 brake fluid and installed using new seals and dust boots. Hawk HPS brake pads were reinstalled with the calipers to prepare the car for the next track outing.
